Library Card Information & Loan Policies
Checkout Periods -
Videocassettes and magazines are checked out for 7 days.
New fiction is checked out for 14 days. Audiovisual
equipment is checked out for 5 days. All other materials
are checked out for 21 days.
Loan
Limits - There is a limit of
five videos, audio books, compact disks, audiocassettes,
and/or magazines per library card. There is a
limit of two DVD's and children's puppets per library
card. There is a maximum total of 50 items per
library card.
Fines - Overdue
videocassettes, DVDs, and equipment are charged $1.00 per day per
item.
All other materials are charged at $ .10 per day fine.
Notices will be sent when materials reach 14 days and 45
days overdue. A patron with fines of $10.00 or more on his or her record will be denied borrowing privileges.
Renewed Materials -
Materials that are NOT OVERDUE may be renewed if there are no
reserves for that title. The may be renewed by accessing your account on
the MORE (more.lib.wi.us)
catalog site. You will be asked to supply your name and card
number. (HINT: If you fail to get in to your record, include your middle
initial or middle name). Renewals may also be done over the phone.
Material Reserves - A
reserve may be placed on any material that appears in the MORE catalog.
Some of these items are on order, so no owning library will be shown.
When you locate a title you wish to reserve, click the REQUEST ITEM icon
in the catalog's tool bar. You will be asked for your name, card
number and at which library you would like to receive the item.
(HINT: If you are unable to request the item, trying adding your middle
initial, or middle name).
Patron Cards - Any
resident of Wisconsin is eligible for a card. Adults need
to present a valid driver's license, or some other valid
form of picture ID, along with ID that contains their
current address. They must complete a MORE application card and
agree to comply with the policies of the MORE libraries. Applicants under 18 years of
age must have a parent or guardian give their written
consent on the application form before a new card can be
issued. The parent or guardian must sign the card in the
presence of the library staff. Cards are issued the same
day. Only the person to whom the card is issued may
use that card.
All library cards must be
renewed annually so that the staff may verify the current
address. In order to renew a library card, patrons must
produce identification and must clear all outstanding
fines and bills. Replacement cards are available for $2.00.
